Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses, performing supportive nursing duties. They are required to have current LVN licensure, basic and possibly advanced cardiac life support certifications, and preferably at least one year of nursing experience. Their responsibilities vary by assignment but focus on assisting with patient care in healthcare settings.
 POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES 
 Provides patient care as assigned by the registered nurse. 
 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 
 Recent experience in area of assignment or at least one year nursing experience is preferred. Current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Healthcare Provider card required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support may be required based on location site. 
 LICENSURE 
 Current LVN licensure in the State of Texas is required.
