Job Description
The Senior Director of Behavior will oversee the behavioral care for animals at ARC and CARE, ensuring their medical and behavioral health. This role involves leading a team of experts, collaborating on research projects, and developing high-quality care standards to improve animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee behavioral care and pathway planning for ARC and CARE animals
Ensure high quality, low stress patient and population care
Manage and coach a team of behavior experts
Lead research projects related to animal behavior
Collaborate with various teams to promote best practices
Required Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in people management
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Ability to work with behaviorally and medically compromised animals
Must feel comfortable with humane euthanasia decisions
Fear Free certification within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing/overseeing research projects
