As an Industrial Surface Mine Electrician, you will be responsible for the electrical repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment at an aggregate production facility, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintains and troubleshoots electrical equipment and power distribution throughout the plant
Establishes procedures to locate and correct electrical problems
Performs high and low voltage splices, terminations and stress cones
Installs and maintains high, medium and low voltage power controls
Performs maintenance to repair or replace defective parts
Troubleshoots electrical problems in power circuits and repairs transformers and circuit breakers
Performs electrical tests to determine causes of issues
Performs adjustments and calibration procedures on process equipment
Conducts preventative maintenance as instructed
Collaborates with other departments for electrical support
Maintains an electronic log of highlights during shifts
Performs work area inspections
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
3-5 years' experience
Experience in the Industrial Electrical field and troubleshooting techniques
Familiarity with NFP 70E and basic AC and C controls
Proven experience in mechanical, electrical and electronic maintenance troubleshooting
Ability to read and comprehend electrical blueprints and schematics
Strong computer, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Good driving record
Ability to travel to other locations
Ability to work overtime, night and weekend work as needed
