The Boeing Company is seeking self-motivated Software Engineers (Associate/Experienced) to become a member of the Training Systems Team in Hazelwood, MO . This Software Engineer will develop software for real-time distributed systems and will be familiar with distributed communication and messaging, as well as multi-threaded application development.
The P-8 Vehicle Simulation Software Team develops quality training software for onboard surveillance and weapons systems, and the software for a full motion pilot training simulator for both Domestic and Foreign Military Sales as well as Direct Commercial Sales. P-8 Aircrew Training currently supports multiple concurrent foreign and domestic contracts and continues to grow. The P-8 Aircrew Training Program operates in a SAFe Agile environment utilizing cross-functional teams consisting of Software, Systems Engineering, and Integration, all executing toward a common trainer delivery.
Implement and test software and systems using a variety of technologies.
• Understand, support, and apply agile principles, practices, and processes.
• Support teams in problem identification, root cause analysis, and decision making.
• 1+ years of experience with professional software development
• 1+ years of experience with object-oriented software development (C/C++, Java)
• 1+ years of experience in hardware and software integration
• 1+ years of experience developing, documenting, and maintaining architectures, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems
• Experience with Linux or Windows development
• 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience designing and developing software for complex systems, such as distributed systems, multi-threaded and multi-process applications, and client-server architectures
• Familiarity with simulation standards such as High-Level Architecture, Distributed Interactive Simulation, and Distributed Mission Operations
• Working knowledge of various bus protocols, and message traffic analysis and debugging
• Experience in software development for avionics systems
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework, SAFe
• Travel: less than 10%

Summary Pay Range/Associate: $90,100 - $121,900

Security Clearance for which the U.An interim U.Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
