Facility Overview

The Surgery Department provides care for a broad spectrum of surgical conditions. Highly skilled surgeons perform endocrine, breast, oncologic, gastrointestinal, colon & rectal (open and laparoscopic), and hepatobiliary procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide First Assist support during a wide variety of surgical procedures

• Assist with patient positioning, visualization, hemostasis, and closure of body planes

• Apply appropriate wound dressings and manage drainage systems

• Adapt quickly and effectively in high-stress situations

• Collaborate with the surgical team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years OR RN First Assist experience

• BSN or higher required

• CNOR preferred

• Experience across multiple surgical specialties

• EPIC experience required

• ACLS & BLS (AHA) certifications required
