Cath Lab/IR Registered Nurse (RN) Position
Shift Details
This position offers a 12-hour day shift from 0530 to 1800, with additional call responsibilities. On-call scheduling will vary during the week, and every fourth weekend is required for call (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).

Required Certifications
Patient Population
Common diagnoses and types of patients include cardiac issues (PCI & diagnostic - LHC & RHC), pacemaker implants, vascular cases, IR cases, mediports and dialysis catheters, and AAA stenting (hybrid lab).
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-admission and post-care in the Holding area
- Procedural nursing in the laboratory
- PICC line insertion
- IV conscious sedation and airway management
Experience and Skills Required
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- Prior exposure to IR & peripheral vascular cases
- Experience with impellas, IABP, shockwave, IVUS, FFR, IFR, swans, and roto
- Comfortable with conscious sedation
- Able to read and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately
Work Environment
The Cath Lab team consists of 6 Cath Lab Techs, with a Charge Nurse present on each shift to assist with workflow and assignments. The typical EMR system used is Cerner Corporation - Soarian, transitioning to Phillips Xper in 2025.
Scheduling and Orientation
- Work Schedule: 3 - 12 hour shifts from 0530 to 1800, including weekend and holiday on-call duties
- On-Call Requirements: 1-2 days per week and 1 weekend every fourth weekend
- Orientation: 2-3 shifts with a preceptor
Other Information
There are no floating requirements for this position. Scrubs are provided in royal blue. The cancellation policy stipulates that the client may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment, and 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks.
