Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Dothan, Alabama (36301) – Alabama healthcare jobs
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract (October 27, 2025 – January 26, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:00); block scheduling available
• Shifts per Week: 3x12 or 4x12, based on traveler preference
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1470–$1570 per week
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Unit: 4 East | 400300
• Orientation: 28 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Alabama or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of application)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency with IV drips (cardizem, tridil, amiodarone)
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Comfortable with patient ratios up to 1:6-7
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• No local candidates within a 90-mile radius of Dothan, AL
• First-time travel nurses welcome!

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Medical/Surgical unit
• Monitor and administer IV drips, including cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, etc.)
• Accurately document patient care and maintain medical records
• Participate in block scheduling and provide weekend coverage as required
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and clinical procedures
