Job Description

Great Wolf Lodge is seeking an Executive Chef to oversee all kitchen operations, including menu creation, staff management, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. This role offers a chance to lead a dynamic team while enjoying comprehensive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct the preparation and presentation of all foods
  • Maintain and follow local Health Department food preparation codes
  • Hire, train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff
  • Listen actively and communicate clearly with guests
  • Analyze feedback and implement suggestions for improvement
  • Create and implement new menus based on food trends
  • Audit food storeroom items to maintain quality
  • Develop programs for a safe facility and work environment
  • Assist in estimating annual food budget

Required Qualifications

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in restaurant kitchen(s)
  • 1+ years experience in restaurant supervisory/leadership role
  • Must be flexible regarding scheduling
  • Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary education degree
  • Previous Executive Chef experience
  • Prior kitchen experience in hotel/resort industry
  • Understanding of sanitation-related issues
  • Proven teamwork
