Job Description
Join ScionHealth as a Registered Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Unit, where you will provide compassionate and effective patient care in an acute care setting. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes while adhering to professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive assessments and reassessments to determine nursing care needs
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with policy and physician orders
Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and patient education timely and accurately
Provide direct care including ADLs, hygiene, nutrition, and mobility support
Monitor patient conditions and communicate significant changes to the care team
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for care coordination, discharge planning, and referrals
Provide emotional and psychosocial support to patients and families
Ensure patient safety through adherence to infection control and fall prevention protocols
Supervise and delegate tasks appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in Nursing
Current state RN license or compact state equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Specialty certification (e.g., RN-BC, CMSRN)
Minimum of 6 months of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
