Job Description
Join Uncommon Schools as a High School Math Teacher, where you will inspire students to become self-guided learners while teaching foundational math skills. You will utilize various instructional strategies to foster confidence and ensure students are prepared for college-level coursework. Engage in a supportive community that values both student and educator development.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Math curriculum including Algebra, Geometry, or Calculus
Support students in problem-solving and critical thinking
Foster a community of self-guided learners
Analyze student work samples and assessments with principal/coach
Build positive relationships with students and families
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Academic expertise in Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or related fields
1-2 years of experience impacting K-12 students in urban schools (preferred)
Eligibility for NJ state certification
