Job Description

Join Uncommon Schools as a High School Math Teacher, where you will inspire students to become self-guided learners while teaching foundational math skills. You will utilize various instructional strategies to foster confidence and ensure students are prepared for college-level coursework. Engage in a supportive community that values both student and educator development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Math curriculum including Algebra, Geometry, or Calculus
  • Support students in problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Foster a community of self-guided learners
  • Analyze student work samples and assessments with principal/coach
  • Build positive relationships with students and families

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Academic expertise in Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or related fields
  • 1-2 years of experience impacting K-12 students in urban schools (preferred)
  • Eligibility for NJ state certification
