Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule requires 3 shifts per week
• Must work every other weekend and holidays
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Care for infants' basic needs including diaper changes and feeding
• Coordinate medical treatments with NICU physicians
• Provide comfort and support to premature and ill newborns and their families
• Attend births, measure and weigh infants, and monitor health directly after birth
• Educate new parents about breastfeeding and infant care
• Perform comprehensive patient care including assessments and vital sign monitoring
• Draw blood and perform specialized procedures
• Collaborate with healthcare team including nurses, physicians, and neonatal nurse practitioners
• Organize, assign, and supervise duties of other staff members as team leader
• Share expertise and knowledge with coworkers and peers
• Utilize nursing process to develop care plans and deliver patient care
• Follow hospital and unit directives
Facility:
This healthcare facility operates a specialized Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) providing critical care for premature and ill newborns. The facility utilizes EPIC electronic medical records system and maintains a collaborative healthcare environment with physicians, nurses, and neonatal nurse practitioners working together to provide comprehensive care for infants and support for their families during challenging times.
