Job Description
Join Lincoln Electric as a Designer/Drafter, where you'll support our Plant Engineering team by implementing capital projects and providing engineering assistance. You'll engage in 3D modeling and 2D drafting, collaborating on design projects that enhance our manufacturing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Support Plant Engineers with 3D models and detail drafts
Reverse engineer components from physical parts or legacy drawings
Create and manage electronic files using document management systems
Assist in developing templates and schematics
Maintain mechanical CAD procedures and standards
Create supporting files for fabrication
Document existing production and facility support equipment
Required Qualifications
High School Education or GED
3 years professional experience in design and drafting
Proficient in Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Catia, or NX
Familiarity with AutoCAD
Experience with data management systems (PDM/PLM)
Experience with measurement tools like micrometers and calipers
Basic computer literacy
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in machine shop or metal manufacturing processes
Motivated to learn 3D CAD drafting and detail print making skills
Organized and detail-oriented
Self-motivated with a high level of ownership
Capable of working independently and in teams
