Job Description
Join Cambridge Health Alliance as an Activities Coordinator I, where you'll create and deliver engaging, therapeutic activity programs for older adults. This role emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and a commitment to enhancing participants' overall well-being through inclusive and meaningful activities.
Key Responsibilities
Design, plan, and implement daily activity programs for older adult participants
Lead therapeutic group activities to support wellness
Orient new participants to the activity program
Assist in developing and coordinating field trips
Collaborate with Personal Care Assistants on day center operations
Manage participant behavioral issues and conflicts
Maintain timely completion of monthly activity calendars and supply orders
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
At least one year experience working with frail elders in a social/medical setting
Experience developing and running therapeutic activities
Activity Director Certification from the National Council of Activity Professionals required within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
BA or BS in related field desirable
Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese and/or Haitian Creole highly desirable
