Job Description
Join Raytheon as a Senior Principal Systems Engineer leading the GNC Cross Product Team. You will spearhead the development of embedded software algorithms for missile systems, tackling obsolescence and enhancing capabilities through innovative solutions and agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Development of tactical missile flight code via System Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis
Development and sustainment of missile simulation framework across multiple platforms
Provide subject matter expert support to Simulation, Guidance, Navigation and Control
Lead development of backlogs, plans, and metrics within an agile framework
Support continuous improvement of people, processes, and tools
Establishment and implementation of best practices and lessons learned
Utilize agile development methods, automation, and continuous integration
Required Qualifications
Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience
Engineering experience in missile system applications
Experience managing and/or leading cross-disciplined engineering teams
Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and/or Object-Oriented design
Preferred Qualifications
Multi-discipline engineering background related to GNC and broader engineering organization
Experience in missile software lifecycle including development and qualification testing
Experience leading simulation and functional design teams
Experience using Linux and configuration management tools such as Synergy, SVN, Git, Microsoft Azure DevOps
