Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care by providing prescribed medical treatment
  • Administer medication and treatments as prescribed
  • Evaluate, assess, monitor, and record patient symptoms and changes in their conditions
  • Coordinate, consult, and problem solve medical care and intervention with interdisciplinary team members
  • Follow established safety procedures and report any medical or medication errors
  • Maintain updated knowledge of professional licensure and medications procedures
  • Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives
  • Document and audit the medical record for all medically necessary client care

Required Qualifications

  • Colorado EMT-Paramedic Certification required
  • Basic Life Support Certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Experience providing care for behavioral health patients
  • Experience in documentation in relation to clinical care and billing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Colorado Community paramedic endorsement and current certification from the International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC) CP-C exam preferred
  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • More than three years of experience working as a community paramedic preferred
  • Experience in coordinating mental health intervention plans and services with other agencies preferred
  • Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred
