Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality patient care by providing prescribed medical treatment
Administer medication and treatments as prescribed
Evaluate, assess, monitor, and record patient symptoms and changes in their conditions
Coordinate, consult, and problem solve medical care and intervention with interdisciplinary team members
Follow established safety procedures and report any medical or medication errors
Maintain updated knowledge of professional licensure and medications procedures
Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives
Document and audit the medical record for all medically necessary client care
Required Qualifications
Colorado EMT-Paramedic Certification required
Basic Life Support Certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
Experience providing care for behavioral health patients
Experience in documentation in relation to clinical care and billing
Preferred Qualifications
Colorado Community paramedic endorsement and current certification from the International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC) CP-C exam preferred
Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred
More than three years of experience working as a community paramedic preferred
Experience in coordinating mental health intervention plans and services with other agencies preferred
Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred
