A Hospitalist Physician manages and coordinates inpatient care within multiple healthcare divisions, overseeing clinical and administrative functions specific to emergency and specialty medicine services. This role involves program evaluation, staffing coordination, budget management, and ensuring quality treatment services across facilities. The position requires a full and unrestricted medical license and offers comprehensive federal benefits including paid time off, retirement plans, insurance, and malpractice coverage.

General Description:
The incumbent is responsible for a major specialty program or programs at a multiple divisions facility. Incumbent may be responsible for the Service Line within one or multi divisions (Topeka/Leavenworth) and 9 CBOCS. He/she assumes professional, technical, and administrative responsibilities for programs extended to these areas as assigned The incumbent may be responsible for various fund control points assigned to the program within the assigned areas. The incumbent manages and controls the use of data related to these programs regarding day to day functioning and program evaluation. The incumbent has the responsibility for coordinating staffing, work assignments, budget, treatment services provided and criteria for the programs. The Service Chief of ED/Acute Specialty Medicine/Clinical Specialty Lab is responsible for the overall clinical and administrative functions of
ED/Acute Specialty Medicine/Clinical Specialty Lab.

Work Schedule:

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory

Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
