Job Description

Join Boeing as a Crane Maintenance Mechanic, where you'll ensure the safe and efficient operation of critical crane systems in an aviation manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, repair, rebuild, retrofit, modify, assemble, disassemble, troubleshoot, analyze, diagnose, calibrate, adjust, and test mechanical systems of cranes
  • Coordinate with management, engineering, equipment vendors, and other organizations
  • Use schematics, blueprints, and technical documents
  • Devise methods where procedures may not be available
  • Maintain, adjust, install and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and electric brake system components
  • Perform operational tests and load tests of cranes and bridges
  • Maintain logs, charts, and prepare reports as required

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience using schematics, blueprints, sketches, manuals, technical documents
  • 2+ years experience with hands-on mechanical tools to diagnose, repair and maintain mechanical systems
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Utilization of fall protection equipment when working at heights

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience inspecting and maintaining building runway rails and expansion joints
  • 2 years overhead crane experience
  • Experience maintaining mechanical cranes and hoist systems including cables, chain, sheaves and hooks
