Manager is looking for Medsurg skilled RNs for this MS/Onc unit.
Qualifications:
- 2 Years Minimum Experience REQUIRED
- 1st Time Travelers are ACCEPTED
- Locals are ACCEPTED
- REQUIRED Certs: BLS
- Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert
Skills REQUIRED:
- Experience in an inpatient setting is required
- Med/Surg, Colostomy care, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Heparin, Insulin, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac
PREFERRED Skills:
- PREFERRED Certs: CPI, OCN
- Charge nurse experience
JOB DETAILS:
- Primarily Medical Surgical patients with Oncology history
- Target Ratios: 1:6
- Shift: NIGHTS 36 or48 hours accepted.
- 13-26 weeks accepted
- RTO: 7 days MAX
- Call Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift.
- Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.
- Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.
- Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed
- PATIENT DIAGNOSES: General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection.
- AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips,
UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
SCRUBS: Navy Blue and white.
Referral Bonus: $250-$500 (each referral)
