Key Responsibilities
Fill tables and cases with cakes from the prep area
Follow procedures to meet out-of-stock percentage goals
Apply merchandising principles to generate sales
Take special orders from guests
Maintain product quality and safety standards
Provide exemplary customer service
Inspire fellow Team Members with a passion for food
Prepare and decorate cakes and other bakery items
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the work area
Required Qualifications
6 to 12 months experience in baking or cake decorating
Satisfactory completion of job specific skills assessment
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
At least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of the Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program
Creative culinary skills
Strong customer service skills
