Job Description
Join Geisinger as a Per Diem Certified Medical Assistant, where you'll provide essential patient care and support to physicians in a dynamic outpatient setting. Your contributions will help ensure a safe and efficient healthcare environment for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
Provides direct patient care and clinical support for physicians
Prepares patients and documents information in electronic medical records
Performs clinical duties such as EKGs, wound dressings, and assists in minor surgical procedures
Collects and prepares laboratory specimens
Performs receptionist and clerical duties to support patient care
Required Qualifications
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Basic Life Support Certification within 6 months
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma Medical Assistant program
Minimum of 1 year related work experience
