As a Manager of Strategic Sourcing at Sysco, you will lead negotiations with suppliers, manage ongoing cost activities, and develop supplier relationships. Your expertise will drive cost efficiency and enhance the sourcing process, making a significant impact on the company's supply chain success.
Key Responsibilities
Negotiate net cost and Earned Income programs for assigned categories/suppliers
Prepare and present supplier award recommendations
Conduct ongoing sourcing activities post-award
Manage steady-state change requests
Develop industry overviews and supplier profiles
Ensure legal documentation is completed
Identify and engage new suppliers
Manage ongoing cost-based activities and price changes
Negotiate new programs with suppliers
Resolve pricing inaccuracies and AR/AP issues
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred or applicable experience in merchandising, pricing and/or customer service
7 years Sysco merchandising, pricing and/or customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and industry experience
Track record of fact-based negotiation skills
Solid understanding and utilization of the RFX sourcing process
Highly skilled in data analysis
Knowledge of product and production processes
Understanding of supply chain principles and dynamics
Understanding of the dynamics of supply and demand
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (V lookups, pivot tables)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a Matrix organization
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree
Project management background
Knowledge of mainframe systems/programs such as AS240, RME, Tableau
