Sable Corporation is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Evanston, Illinois.
We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Cardiac Cath Lab RN to join a leading healthcare facility in Illinois. This position supports both Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures, with responsibilities including direct patient care, monitoring during procedures, and post-procedure coordination. This role requires flexibility for OR/IR coverage and includes a rotating call schedule.
Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with facility policies, procedures, and best practices
Implement and adjust patient care plans, monitoring for changes and documenting accordingly
Monitor, record, and report patient condition and procedural response
Carry out physician and nursing orders accurately and promptly
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure well-coordinated, high-quality care
Serve as a liaison among departments during procedures and recovery
Assist during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterizations, angiograms, and interventional radiology procedures
Contribute to patient discharge planning and education in collaboration with the care team
Active RN license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (Required)
BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross (Required)
1–2 years of recent experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology (IR) (Preferred)
Strong working knowledge of sterile technique, cardiac anatomy, and procedural workflow
Ability to respond effectively in high-pressure, time-sensitive scenarios
Must meet on-call requirements:
Every 3rd weekend
At least 16 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule
