Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,614 per week

First Connect Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

General job duties. Types of procedures required. 
General Medical Surgical nursing care. Skills and tasks required would be assessments, care planning, inter-professional communication, utilization of the EHR, IV pumps, wound vacs, heat/cooling pads, feeding pumps, feeding tubes, chest tubes, management of heparin and insulin drips, IV therapy management.

Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.
Epic electronic record, pyxis machines, Accucheck blood glucose, hospira IV pumps, SCDs for VTE prevention, heating/cooling pads, telemetry monitoring

Required skills and minimum years of experience-
Candidate must have at least 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2 or tertiary experience. Candidate must have at least 1 year of experience at a like sized facility (600+) beds.

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required- (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
BLS, IN State or compact RN license

Shift or schedule requirements- 12-hour shifts, 3 weekend shifts in 4 weeks

Medsurg RN's will float to areas in greatest need. 

Patient ratios are 1:5-6.

 

Dress Code: Caribbean Blue scrubs

EPIC charting

Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)
Would only float to other medical units.
