Job Description

Join USAA as an Intermediate Bank Disputes Specialist to protect the financial interests of members by investigating and resolving transactional disputes. Work in a dynamic team environment while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate moderately complex Fraud and Non-Fraud transactional disputes
  • Apply problem-solving skills and regulatory knowledge to resolve disputes
  • Determine cardholder liability based on investigations
  • Process recovery attempts through chargebacks and representments
  • Document investigation results in case management systems
  • Ensure risks are identified and controlled in accordance with policies

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
  • 1 year of customer contact experience in a financial services organization
  • 1 year of analytical problem-solving experience
  • Experience working under Federal Banking Regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years Bank Disputes or Fraud experience within a financial institution
  • Knowledge of federal laws, rules, and regulations (Reg E, Reg Z, NACHA)
  • Proven experience identifying fraud vs non-fraud
  • US military experience or a military spouse/domestic partner
