Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule & Shift:
- Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
- Call Requirement: Yes ($5/hour, 1.3x callback rate)
- Weekend Coverage: To be discussed with manager
- Block Schedule: Not available
- Floating: Required within scope, including to sister facilities within 20 miles (Martin North, South, Tradition)
- Orientation: 16 non-billable hours
Compensation for 40 hours: $2,970 Per Week
- Weekly Gross: $2,970.00 Per Week
- On W2(Taxable): $800.00 Per Week ($20/hour)
- Stipend (Non-Taxable): $2,170.00 Per Week
Job Overview:
Cleveland Clinic Florida – Weston is seeking a skilled and collaborative Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment. This position is ideal for professionals with strong experience in cardiac cath lab procedures and a commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence. The ideal candidate has at least 18 months of cath lab experience and is confident in scrub, circulator, and technical roles during cardiovascular procedures.
Major Job Duties:
- Assist in cardiovascular procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, and stent placement.
- Scrub and maintain sterile technique during all cath lab procedures.
- Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and emergencies during interventions.
- Operate and manage cath lab equipment, ensuring all instruments are prepared and functioning for procedures.
- Float between units and facilities within the region based on staffing needs, maintaining flexibility and professionalism.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 18 months in Cath Lab; 2 years.
- Certifications Required:
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- ARRT (R) or CCI RCIS (preferred)
- Education: Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT) or equivalent
- License: Must be active; no pending licenses accepted
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Diagnostic and interventional cath procedures
- Left/right heart catheterization
- IABP placement/removal
- Rotablader atherectomy
- Cardiac implant closure devices
- Infection control (isolation precautions, sterile technique)
- Epic charting experience
