• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7pm-7am), weekends as scheduled
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1820-$1950
• Charting System: Cerner Soarian
• Scrub Color: Navy blue for Registered Nurses

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or compact state
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Ability to provide a valid, unexpired driver’s license
• Willingness to float to other Med/Surg, Med/Surg-Tele, or IMC units as needed
• Flexibility to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation
• First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply!

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to a diverse population, including pneumonia, UTIs, AMS, GI bleeds, alcohol withdrawal, and general medical/surgical cases
• Manage nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6-8 during night shifts
• Titrate IV drips such as heparin, bumex, and lasix (no cardiac drip titration required)
• Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care technicians, and respiratory therapists
• Monitor patients on telemetry (monitor techs available; nurses not required to interpret strips)
• Document patient care using Cerner Soarian electronic health record system
• Participate in a supportive healthcare team and adapt to floating as needed
• Attend 1 day of orientation with an educator/computer system and 1 day with a preceptor
