Job Description

Join Optum as an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to enhance patient care through empathy and efficiency. You will serve as the first point of contact, supporting patients in navigating their healthcare needs while working collaboratively within a dedicated care team.

Key Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for patients, setting a positive tone
  • Exhibit empathy, courtesy, competence, efficiency, and care
  • Schedule appointments and procedures following standard guidelines
  • Use multiple computer and phone systems to fulfill patient needs
  • Verify patient information and document in Electronic Health Record (EPIC)
  • Advise patients regarding insurance and referral responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ years of basic computer software experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience as receptionist in a medical office
  • 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
