Program Supplier Quality Engineer here at Raytheon, you will be the primary interface between our supplier base and internal stakeholders of critical and technically advanced DoD Programs. Ensure flow down of product requirements both internally and to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and statement of works. Interpret these requirements to ensure supply base both understands and complies with these quality requirements. Drive continuous product / process improvements of our supply base by identifying supplier risk & systemic performance issues and driving solutions through various tools/methodologies including: Application of APQP processes related to supplier performance and implementation of necessary engagements to improve supplier manufacturing processes. Can anticipate some travel (Up to 25%) to support supplier assessments, audits, reviews. Represent quality during review boards covering changes to: supplier designs, process changes, qualification tests, and procedure reviews. Managing complex supplier base in a variety of fields (Electrical, Mechanical, energetic, etc) Location Information: The position primarily interfaces with the program team at the Tucson, AZ facility along with some travel which can be expected as part of this role (Up to 25%). NOTE - this role does not provide relocation assistance Typically Requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and 8 years’ experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering discipline. Previous experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Experience with one or more of the following Quality Management standards: Previous experience interpreting schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques. S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Six Sigma, Lean, and/or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.) Proven successes in building and maintaining relationships with multiple suppliers/ customers. Experience in engineering, development, project planning, and collaborating remotely. Working knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management systems, AS9145 Requirements for APQP & PPAP, and FAI Standard AS9102. Experience working with one or more of the following aerospace or commercial equivalent preventative tools – Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Lean Manufacturing, Control Plans, other process improvement tools healthcare, wellness, retirement and work/life benefits; Some of the benefits we offer include parental (including paternal) leave, flexible work schedules, achievement awards, educational assistance and child/adult backup care.
