We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support embedded and enterprise systems for mission-critical government and defense initiatives. This is a high-impact role requiring systems thinking, architecture design, requirements management, and technical leadership across cross-functional engineering teams.

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:

• Manage all technical aspects of product or system design including directing multiple lab resources for large scale product or system deployments
• Manage sub-contractor resources supporting all system engineering areas (definition, requirements analysis, synthesis, systems analysis and implementation).
• Conduct product or system design synthesis translating requirements into physical architectures for systems of high complexity to include defining and refining internal and external interfaces
• Develop technical reports and diagrams detailing product or system attributes
• Validate security control configurations on systems and ensure all systems are configured with proper controls, such as STIGS, CMMC, and other similar requirements
• Collaborate with sponsors and other key stakeholders to derive tasks from detailed requirements, and provide tasking to other team members based off of the derived tasks
• Design and implement systems engineering solutions for a variety of hardware and software-based systems
• Perform systems analysis to assess testability/suitability through the review of requirements, documentation, and system behavior
• Coordinate closely with multi-functional development teams to ensure research product development closely tracks with system requirements
• Develop requirements, test plans, procedures, scripts, data, reports, and other related formal test artifacts
• Conduct formal test events by executing developed automated test procedures and compiling test artifacts/reports for sponsored projects

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications - Systems Engineer

M1. 9 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study

M2. 7 years of related experience with a Masters’ degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study

M3. 4 years of related experience with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study

M4. Experience with systems engineering processes and methodologies applicable to complex systems

M5. Experience contributing to technical report deliverables and/or proposals

M6. Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to non-technical audiences

M7. Ability to contribute to or lead proposal efforts and engineering documentation.

Desirable Qualifications - Systems Engineer

D1. Experience with DOORS or equivalent requirements management tools

D2. Experience performing in a Systems Engineering role on military radar system development programs

D4. Experience with SysML
