Start Date: 9/8/2025
Duration: 9 weeks
Shift: 8-hr days, 40 hrs/week, 7am-3:30pm
On-Call: None
Weekends/Holidays: As needed; holidays as required
Key Responsibilities:
1. Nursing Leadership & Staff Oversight
Supervise day-to-day nursing operations to ensure resident safety, satisfaction, and clinical excellence.
Lead, coach, and evaluate nursing staff performance while fostering a supportive work culture.
Ensure staffing levels and competencies meet resident needs and regulatory requirements.
2. Policy, Compliance & Risk Management
Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., CMS, DPH, OSHA).
Participate in internal audits, surveys, and investigations to maintain standards of care.
3. Budget & Resource Management
Collaborate on budgeting, staffing plans, and resource allocation to maximize operational efficiency.
Monitor usage of supplies and equipment; ensure cost-effective and appropriate resource use.
4. Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI)
Lead QAPI initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and resident satisfaction.
Analyze data trends and implement evidence-based strategies to reduce rehospitalizations, improve care quality, and meet performance targets.
5. Strategic & Operational Planning
Support long- and short-term planning for nursing services aligned with facility goals.
Anticipate future needs of the facility and contribute to strategic initiatives.
6. Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Communication
Serve as liaison between nursing, administrative leadership, and other departments.
Facilitate effective communication and interdisciplinary coordination for seamless care delivery.
Represent nursing in leadership and regulatory meetings as needed.
Requirements:
Education: BSN required; MSN or MHA preferred.
Licensure: Active RN license in PA.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
At least 2 years in a nursing leadership or administrative role in a long-term care or SNF setting.
Certifications: NE-BC, NEA-BC, or equivalent nursing leadership certifications preferred.
Technology: Proficient in EMR systems (e.g., PointClickCare), Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
Deep understanding of SNF regulations, survey processes, and reimbursement models.
Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
Proven ability to drive quality improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of infection control, patient rights, HIPAA, and elder care standards.
