Job Description
As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support and guidance to Sailors and Marines, conducting worship services and counseling during significant moments in their lives. This role allows you to serve both on land and at sea, offering comfort and hope to those in service.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct worship services in various settings
Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings and funerals
Counsel individuals seeking guidance
Oversee religious education programs
Provide spiritual guidance to hospitalized personnel and families
Train lay leaders for religious education
Promote attendance at religious services, retreats, and conferences
Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizen or equivalent
Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited institution
Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a DOD-registered religious organization
