Schedule: 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM),

Contract Duration:13 weeks

Pay rate :$ 55 -$ 58 per hour on W2

Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse (RN) provides safe, high-quality, evidence-based care to patients in the Surgical/Medical ICU. This role emphasizes a Relationship Centered Care model, focused on patient dignity, clinical excellence, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

Apply the nursing process and critical thinking in delivering care.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and execute patient care plans.

Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.

Perform accurate documentation and ensure compliance with care standards.

Patient Experience:

Conduct Bedside Shift Reports and Purposeful Hourly Rounding.

Engage with patients and families to ensure needs, values, and concerns are respected.

Handle patient concerns with empathy and escalate when needed.

Quality & Safety:

Uphold safety protocols and contribute to performance improvement initiatives.

Identify risks, escalate safety concerns, and follow chain-of-command protocols.

Support use of high-reliability and evidence-based practices.

Operations:

May serve as Charge Nurse when assigned.

Collaborate with unit leadership on staffing and resource allocation.

Monitor supply usage and ensure cost-effective care.

Professional Development:

Actively participate in unit-based projects and shared governance.

Support and mentor peers; maintain clinical competency.

Pursue ongoing education and contribute to nursing innovation.

Licensure & Certifications:

NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License – Required

BLS – Required

ACLS – Required

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of ICU/Med-Surg RN experience – Required

1 year of travel nursing experience – Preferred (not required for Per Diem)

EPIC charting experience – Highly Preferred

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required

Associate Degree may be accepted only with significant experience and/or active BSN enrollment.
