Brief Description

HVAC Mechanic/Building Engineer Providence, RI:

Dae Sung, LLC is seeking a full-time HVAC Mechanic/Building Engineer to provide operations and mechanical maintenance services at the J.O. Pastore Federal Building in Providence, RI. This is a full-time union position with benefits including Vacation, Sick Leave, Paid Holidays, Health & Welfare Benefits, and Pension in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

HVAC Mechanics will receive hourly pay increases based on classification/qualifications/duties. The classifications are:

• H.V.A.C Level I - $39.59 : Qualifications include one of the certifications (NATE, HVAC Excellence, UA Star), EPA Universal CFC certification, GSA approval. Duties include HVAC responsibilities and pursuing/receiving HVAC local/state journeyperson licenses.
• H.V.A.C Level II - $43.55 : Same qualifications as Level I. Duties include supervisory responsibilities, HVAC duties, and license pursuit.
• H.V.A.C Level III - $46.53 : Requires HVAC local/state journeyperson license (excess of 10 tons), certifications, and GSA approval. Duties focus on HVAC responsibilities.

Candidates must have a minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in building maintenance, operating large commercial HVAC equipment, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on systems such as BAS, boilers, chillers, hot water systems, plumbing, air handlers, and VAV components. General maintenance knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is required.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D is required.
• Universal EPA or CFC certification is required.
• Technical HVAC training is highly desired.
• HVAC journeyperson license required.
