Key Responsibilities
Support existing programs through day-to-day operations of various systems and experiments
Supply high-quality ideas and insights on existing and future problems
Perform creative, independent research characterizing thermal, magnetic, and electrical properties of materials
Collaborate with a team to design experiments, process data, and present findings
Fill leadership roles on existing projects and propose new research directions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher in physics, engineering, or a closely related field
1+ year experience with cryogenic systems or in characterizing materials or systems at cryogenic temperatures
Strong desire to work in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary, applied science environment
Ability to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in engineering, physics, or a closely related field
Experience measuring thermal and electrical properties of materials at cryogenic temperatures
Experience designing and troubleshooting experimental setups in cryogenic systems
Extensive experience operating millikelvin test systems
Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph security clearance
