Key Responsibilities

  • Support existing programs through day-to-day operations of various systems and experiments
  • Supply high-quality ideas and insights on existing and future problems
  • Perform creative, independent research characterizing thermal, magnetic, and electrical properties of materials
  • Collaborate with a team to design experiments, process data, and present findings
  • Fill leadership roles on existing projects and propose new research directions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in physics, engineering, or a closely related field
  • 1+ year experience with cryogenic systems or in characterizing materials or systems at cryogenic temperatures
  • Strong desire to work in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary, applied science environment
  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in engineering, physics, or a closely related field
  • Experience measuring thermal and electrical properties of materials at cryogenic temperatures
  • Experience designing and troubleshooting experimental setups in cryogenic systems
  • Extensive experience operating millikelvin test systems
  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph security clearance
