Job Description
Join the Children's Hospital of The Kings Daughter as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, where you'll provide specialized clinical therapies to neonatal and pediatric patients. You'll work in critical care and outpatient settings, employing state-of-the-art equipment to ensure optimal patient care. This role emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach, fostering collaboration with healthcare teams and families.
Key Responsibilities
Assess patient condition and develop or modify respiratory care plan
Administer diagnostic tests and procedures
Assist with endotracheal intubation and bronchoscopy
Respond to respiratory and other defined emergencies
Maintain artificial airways and provide mechanical ventilation
Document patient care treatments and responses
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training
Associate degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program
