Job Description
Join SCIEX as an Associate Hardware Scientist and lead the innovation in mass spectrometry technology. Collaborate with senior scientists to drive product improvements and enhance customer workflows in a dynamic research environment.
Key Responsibilities
Enable testing and development of novel hardware for improved customer workflows
Define methodologies to verify or validate hardware/software aspects
Drive innovation by generating ideas to advance scientific technology
Identify and implement product improvement opportunities
Contribute to on-time delivery of research projects and translate risks into plans
Required Qualifications
Higher level Science degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or similar (Ph.D. preferred)
Broad background in instrument control, machine learning, and software development
Proven publication record in enabling novel instrumentation
Experience with analytical instrumentation
Preferred Qualifications
Experience implementing AI / ML algorithms to solve scientific problems
Ability to work independently
Proven track record of innovation and patent generation
