Job Description

Join SCIEX as an Associate Hardware Scientist and lead the innovation in mass spectrometry technology. Collaborate with senior scientists to drive product improvements and enhance customer workflows in a dynamic research environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enable testing and development of novel hardware for improved customer workflows
  • Define methodologies to verify or validate hardware/software aspects
  • Drive innovation by generating ideas to advance scientific technology
  • Identify and implement product improvement opportunities
  • Contribute to on-time delivery of research projects and translate risks into plans

Required Qualifications

  • Higher level Science degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or similar (Ph.D. preferred)
  • Broad background in instrument control, machine learning, and software development
  • Proven publication record in enabling novel instrumentation
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing AI / ML algorithms to solve scientific problems
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven track record of innovation and patent generation
