Key Responsibilities
Assess individual needs of each student
Establish measurable goals and objectives for each student
Aid in design and implementation of an IEP for each student
Keep accurate records and progress monitoring data
Provide appropriate materials and training for students and staff
Submit reports in a timely manner
Communicate with parents and school personnel
Establish a regular meeting schedule with students
Attend scheduled VI staff and IEP meetings
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in Visually Impaired
