Job Details:
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and assessment data
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records in a timely and legible manner
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in unit shared leadership and contribute to education and orientation of facility personnel
• Provide supervision and direction to licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area of practice
• Current valid RN license in state of practice required
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
• Minimum one year experience in acute care hospital setting required
• Experience in clinical area within the past 12 months required
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical demands of patient care
• Must maintain standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
