Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you'll support a dedicated team in providing high-quality veterinary care to underserved communities. This role combines leadership with direct veterinary practice, ensuring every patient receives compassionate treatment while fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s CVC
Train veterinarians in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter techniques
Support a positive work culture and team development
Perform high quality, high volume spay/neuter surgical procedures
Provide compassionate veterinary care in underserved areas
Participate in administrative duties and support operational needs
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Leadership abilities
Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Fear Free® Shelter certification within 60 days of hire
