Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: New Lenox, Illinois 60451 (Chicago metro area)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (10/27/2025 – 1/26/2026)
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry (Med/Surg Unit)
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (primarily nights, some days possible)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1840–$1980 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Telemetry RN or Stepdown Registered Nurse
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and post-surgical patient care
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations in a clinical setting
• Active Illinois RN license (required at time of application)
• BLS/CPR certification (AHA required)
• Fully COVID-19 vaccinated (required for healthcare jobs in Illinois)
• NIHSS and ACLS certifications preferred
• Current Illinois Nurse Agency Certificate (must be submitted with application)

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate patient care in the Cardiac Stepdown/Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips as per physician orders
• Provide post-surgical care, ensuring safe recovery and monitoring for complications
• Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs, SNAs, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain high standards of professional nursing practice and patient safety
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care in a timely manner
