Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care for kidney transplant patients
Conduct general nephrology consultations
Perform pre-transplant evaluations and management
Oversee perioperative care and post-operative monitoring
Admit and discharge patients as needed
Conduct patient rounds in collaboration with other physicians
Handle weekend solo call for consultations
Utilize Cerner electronic health record system for documentation
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nephrology best practices and treatment guidelines
Required Qualifications
Active New Mexico state license
Board certification in Nephrology
Experience in managing kidney transplant patients
Proficiency in pre-transplant evaluation and perioperative care
Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record system
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work varying shifts and provide call coverage
