Description: Alcanza is a growing multi-site, multi-phase clinical research company with locations across the US and Puerto Rico. We conduct Phase I-IV studies in various therapeutic areas including vaccine, neurology, dermatology, psychiatry, and general medicine. Join us as we expand our team.
The Principal Investigator oversees daily clinical trial activities in accordance with ICH/FDA/GCP guidelines, local regulations, study protocols, and company policies. Collaboration with local and central teams ensures clinical oversight and quality of studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of study participants through ethical conduct of trials, adhering to FDA, ICH, NIH, GCP, HIPAA guidelines, protocols, and policies.
- Lead site operations focusing on efficiency, patient safety, and compliance.
- Evaluate and select eligible participants for trials.
- Engage in participant recruitment and retention efforts.
- Collaborate effectively with sponsors, clients, and team members.
- Maintain accurate data and participant records following protocols and GCP.
- Participate in protocol training and investigator meetings.
- Perform additional duties as required by study needs.
Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: MD or DO, valid physician license, research experience preferred, board certification in specialty preferred, CPR (required), ACLS (preferred).
Required Skills:
- Clinical skills relevant to specialty.
- Proficiency in MS Office, EHRs, web applications, and typing (>40 wpm).
- Strong organizational, attention to detail, and math skills.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
- Interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and in teams.
- Adaptability to workload changes, professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
