Job Description
Join Optum as a Centralized Scheduler and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. You'll work collaboratively with healthcare teams, ensuring efficient scheduling and maintaining high standards of customer service. Key Responsibilities
Greet patients, family members, and guests warmly
Obtain and verify patient information
Schedule appointments and procedures efficiently
Check in/out patients
Answer incoming and outgoing calls promptly
Perform referral documentation and follow-up services for patients
Adhere to Optum Employee Policies and maintain HIPAA compliance
Work cohesively with team members to achieve goals
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience
Intermediate level of computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word)
Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm EST
Ability to travel to other offices if needed
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience working in a medical front office position
Experience working with an electronic health record
Knowledge of medical terminology
