Position Summary: Salina Regional Health Center is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment in its Acute Rehabilitation Unit. The role focuses on delivering patient-centered therapeutic care aimed at improving independence, functionality, and quality of life for patients recovering from injury, illness, or surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients’ functional deficits
  • Develop individualized treatment plans addressing self-care, mobility, cognitive function, and adaptive skills
  • Facilitate therapeutic interventions using evidence-based techniques and assistive devices
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and adaptive strategies
  • Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and nursing staff to support integrated care planning
  • Document treatment sessions, progress notes, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory and facility standards
  • Participate in care team meetings and contribute to discharge planning
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment and uphold rehabilitation protocols

Qualifications:

  • Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Active Occupational Therapist license in Kansas or compact license eligibility
  • Minimum of 1–2 years clinical experience, preferably in an inpatient or acute rehab setting
  • BLS certification required
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently within a team-based model
