• Weekend Requirements: Every other or every 3rd weekend, including holiday rotation.
• On Call Requirements: Occasional call for low census situations.

Job Description & Requirements

We are seeking a skilled ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. This role involves providing critical care to a diverse patient population in a 14-bed ICU unit within a 49-bed facility.

COVID-19 Policy: Travelers must be vaccinated. Medical or religious exemptions will be considered upon request.

Unit Information

• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Common Treatments & Drips: Ventilator management, CRRT, IABP, and titration of vasoactive, insulin, sedation, paralytic, and antiarrhythmic drips.
• Patient Types: Ventilated patients, CRRT, IABP, MI, detox, etc.
• Floating: Possibility of floating to med/surg units on occasion.
• EMR: EPIC (Experience required)

Submission Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of current ICU/CCU experience.
• First-Time Travelers: Will be accepted if they have strong CCU experience.
• Certifications: All required certificates must be active.
• Licensure: Active Iowa RN license or compact license.

Required Certifications

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)

Local Candidates: Accepted if within 60 miles of the permanent address, but will be offered at a local rate.
