Job Description
Join Raytheon's mechanical design team as a Senior Principal Engineer, focusing on Low Observable technology. Lead technical projects from conceptual design to testing, contributing to national security efforts. Collaborate with a skilled team and make an impact on cutting-edge defense solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, analysis, and testing of Low Observable technology
Proposal writing and Basis of Estimate (BOE) development
Perform RCS predictions and analyze data
Document test preparation, data analysis, and design trades
Work within integrated product teams
Present results to internal and external customers
Occasional business travel
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Ten (10) years of engineering experience in Low Observable (LO) technology or related fields
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
U.S. citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with LO targets on ground plane ranges
Absorber material treatments/design experience
Experience with RF testing techniques and terminology
Understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals
Experience in infrared signature analysis and control
Programming expertise in C++ or MATLAB
Advanced radar system development or test experience
Presentation skills
