Allied Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work in Cardiovascular Intervention including Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Neurology, Interventional Radiology, and Electrophysiology
• Receive training in all cardiovascular intervention specialties
• Verify patient identification and procedural consent documentation
• Identify patient allergies and contrast reaction history
• Prepare and sterilize equipment, verify sterile supplies and medication integrity
• Monitor vital signs and assess distal pulses before and after procedures
• Participate in pre-procedural time-out activities
• Prepare access sites with sterile drapes and covers
• Set up and operate automatic contrast injector systems
• Assist in administering medications including analgesics, anticoagulants, thrombolytics, and emergency medications
• Monitor medical equipment and calibrate pressure transducers during procedures
• Scrub with physicians using sterile and aseptic techniques
• Handle biohazardous materials appropriately
• Maintain radiation safety protocols and wear personnel radiation dosimeter
• Document fluoroscopy time and radiation dose
• Position patients and imaging equipment for optimal projections
• Select appropriate imaging protocols to optimize quality while minimizing dose
• Acquire and process digital images including road mapping and 3D reconstructions
• Assist with ultrasound guidance for vascular access and biopsies
• Provide post-procedural patient care including pressure application and dressing placement
• Apply vascular closure devices as needed
• Provide instruction for students and partners
• Required certifications: IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation, ARRT(R), ARRT(VI) or ARRT(CI), BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Must be graduate of accredited radiology program
