Join APL as a Cost/Pricing Specialist, where you'll collaborate with financial managers and contribute to maintaining a government-approved Cost Estimating System. You'll ensure accuracy in cost proposals while offering training and support in cost estimating best practices within a dynamic and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide hands-on support to Financial Managers during cost proposal preparation
Review final proposals for conformity with regulations and requirements
Partner with Financial Management leadership for training and resources on cost estimating best practices
Perform special projects including rate analysis and proposal development
Support DCAA and DCMA proposal and system audits
Required Qualifications
B.S. Degree in Business or related field
Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience with a federal government contractor
Expertise with cost estimating and complex proposal development
Comprehensive knowledge of federal government contracting, Cost Accounting Standards, and Federal Acquisition Regulations
Experience in contract negotiation support and interface with government audit agencies
Highly motivated and self-starting
Exceptional problem solving, communications, and customer service skills
Demonstrated effectiveness interacting at all organizational levels
Persistent in pursuit of continuous improvement
Highly proficient with the MS Office suite
US Citizenship or permanent resident status
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management
Hands-on federal Contract or Subcontract Management experience, DoD-focused
