Job Description
Join XPO as a Freight Operations Supervisor and lead a dynamic team in managing freight operations. You'll develop strategic work procedures, ensure compliance with regulations, and coach employees to achieve productivity goals, all while enjoying a competitive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations
Develop and implement strategic work procedures
Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks
Ensure production goals are met
Plan hourly employee schedules
Enforce compliance with company policies and regulations
Coach and develop employees on proper techniques and quality requirements
Conduct daily staff meetings and communicate corporate messages
Inspect working conditions and correct any adverse conditions
Minimize shipment rehandle across the network
Required Qualifications
2 years of related work experience in warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment
Knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry
Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations
Ability to work a variety of shifts
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Distribution or Logistics
4 years of related work or military experience
2 years of supervisory experience
Positive attitude with the ability to multitask and motivate a team
Exceptional leadership, communication, and administrative skills
