Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details

• Location: Burlington, Vermont 05401
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse, Resource Float Pool
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: May 3, 2026
• Contract Duration: 26 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2100-$2250
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
• Transportation: Reliable vehicle required (public transportation not accessible)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Vermont or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Prior travel RN experience required
• Experience in a teaching hospital setting required
• Epic EMR proficiency within the past 2 years (required)
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (must be obtained prior to start)
• PCCN and orthopedic certifications preferred
• Ability to float between Med/Surg Tele and Medical-Surgical units
• Explanation required for employment gaps over 90 days
• Complete work history needed for submission (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.)
• Vehicle must have all-season or snow tires November–April (Vermont travel nurse safety requirement)

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in Med/Surg Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units
• Float between hospital units as assigned to support patient care needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a teaching hospital environment
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
• Respond to emergencies and provide advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)
• Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development
• Maintain compliance with hospital and healthcare policies and procedures
